Professor at St George's Hospital Medical School and the Medical Academy of St Petersburg, member of the US National Board of Medical Examiners. Former President of the Royal College of General Practitioners and former member of the Postgraduate Medical Education Training Board. Founder and inaugural Chairman of the Academy of Medical Educators. International work has included support for medical training in Egypt and Libya. International expert on the training and certification of GPs. Author of a large number of medical textbooks and research publications.
