Task and Finish Groups
Working in partnership on key projects and tasks.
Including Beneficiaries in Major Projects
Whenever we have a major project to take forward, we want to include beneficiaries in the process. This will include large strategic tasks which only occur every few years (such as preparing for and participating in the four-yearly reviews with Diageo and the government and producing the Five-Year Strategic Plan - but equally could include developing new services for beneficiaries or new Trust policies). In the past, it has always been members of the NAC who have been involved in these projects, but going forward we are keen to involve a wider range of beneficiaries.
We plan to set up ‘Task and Finish Groups’ to deliver these specific time-limited projects. Beneficiaries will be recruited to be equal members of these groups, working alongside staff and, sometimes, Trustees. In general, we will be looking for beneficiaries with specific knowledge, skills and experience, relevant to the task, to join Task & Finish Groups.
Task and Finish Group May - July 2024: How best to support the needs of overseas beneficiaries
A small group of overseas beneficiaries are meeting to identify and develop a range of options for consideration by the Trustees that will allow the Trust to:-
- Respond to the individual unmet needs as overseas beneficiaries.
- Collect the right information from overseas beneficiaries that enables us to identify emerging issues, identify potential solutions and plan and deliver the most appropriate support wherever they live.
