Make a Simple Will in October for Free – Register your interest now
October is Free Wills Month - take this opportunity to make or update your will
Making a will is important and can help protect your loved ones after you die, and also ensure your estate is dealt with in the way you choose.
The Free Wills Month scheme allows anyone aged 55 or over to have a free will drawn up by a solicitor in exchange for a charitable donation, although you are not obliged to do this.
Through the scheme you can contact one of a number of solicitors who are taking part, and request an appointment. Appointments are limited so it's best to apply early. Your chosen solicitor may be able to offer remote appointments if needed so talk to them about what is possible to make it easier for you.
The solicitor will draw up a simple will for you. If you are able to leave a gift to one of the Free Wills Month charities, you can include this.
