Thalidomide victim recalls kindness of pioneering Liverpool headmistress.

Kevin Donnelon was born with no arms or legs and was given a chance at an education by Pauline Skelly.
A Thalidomide victim who went on to earn a degree, have a child and is soon to be married has spoken of how a very special teacher changed his life forever.

Kevin Donnellon was rescued from his Special School by one of Liverpool’s first female headteachers Pauline Skelly and is now appealing for somewhere in the city to display documents and photographs from her life.
