A PAIN IN THE NECK? – Help us find out why.

We know that neck pain is a real and highly debilitating problem for many of you. Here at the Trust we have been working with a world renowned neck and spinal surgeon, Mr Adrian Casey, to understand the causes and most effective treatments for this debilitating condition.

Mr Casey works at The Royal National Orthopaedic Hospital (RNOH) Stanmore and the National Hospital for Neurology & Neurosurgery (UCLH). He has personally seen a number of beneficiaries from the Trust and is building up important expertise.

In order to increase the understanding of how neck pain affects beneficiaries and to raise the profile of the ongoing effects of thalidomide damage we are asking you all (at Mr Casey’s request) to fill out a simple questionnaire.

This is a widely used and understood questionnaire for people suffering from neck pain and it can be used to compare neck pain amongst beneficiaries with those in the undamaged population. We have added an additional question about your pattern of damage so that we can see whether that has an effect too.

This survey has now closed. Results will be shared once reviewed with Mr Casey.
