We are the National Advisory Council (NAC) of the Thalidomide Trust.
We are a user-led group that exists to represent the beneficiaries of the Thalidomide Trust by working in partnership with the trustees and the staff.
There are 10 members of the NAC at the moment but there is usually 12. We are all beneficiaries of the Trust and are elected by the beneficiary community to represent their views.

Each NAC member is elected for a four-year term. Each member can serve a maximum of three terms, after which they need to step back for at least a year before being able to stand again.
Geoff SpinkGeoff is the Chair of the NAC and lives in London. He is on the Finance committee and the Joint Event planning team with the Thalidomide Society. David AlexanderDavid lives in Alloa, and is currently the sole NAC member living in Scotland. This is his first year on the NAC and has also joined the Finance Committee. Carolyn DesforgesCarolyn lives in Nottinghamshire. She is co-chair of the Health & Wellbeing committee and sits on the Research committee.
