New app to help disabled rail users is being launched in 2019

Transreport have created a new app that has been developed to allow disabled train users to be tracked by station staff during their journey. This will make transfers between platforms much quicker to avoid delays and missed trains. Live updates can be sent to the customer's phone with platform changes or delays and customers can message station staff when they need assistance. The full trial will take place in the new year with the aim to be live in UK stations by June 2019.
