They require a skilled qualitative researcher to join the world-renowned School of Sport, Exercise and Health Sciences at Loughborough University. Located within the National Centre for Sport and Exercise Medicine, the successful applicant will also be integrated into the Peter Harrison Centre for Disability Sport.

The role description is as follows:

Leading a participatory action research project promoting physical activity in Thalidomide survivors, you will be a highly independent scholar with strong people skills and a passion for working with marginalised and under-represented groups. Based on interviews and focus groups, you will work with Thalidomide survivors to create and implement a theory-based exercise promotion initiative. The role demands creativity and innovation with regards to intervention design and knowledge dissemination. A PhD in a psychology/physical activity-related field is essential.
